Biography

Dimie Cat, born Dimitroff-Apostoloff in 1984 in France, is a singer and songwriter known for her work in jazz and electro swing. Her stage name comes from her paternal grandmother's maiden name. In 2007, Dimie Cat met composer-producer Franck Rougier, leading to the creation of her first two albums, Pin Me Up (released in 2009) and Zigzag (released in 2012), both on the Dream'up label. Pin Me Up, inspired by the swing era and Hollywood pin-ups of the 1940s and 50s, featured the single "Post-it", which was played on France Bleu national radio, and "Glam!". In 2014, she released a Disney-themed electro swing cover album, Once Upon A Dream, for the Asian market, which reached number 3 on the iTunes Jazz chart in Japan.
