Biography
Defleshed is a Swedish death metal ensemble from Uppsala formed in 1991. The group was established by the guitarist Lars Löfven. Their recording career began with the demo recordings Defleshed (1992) and Abrah Kadavrah (1992). After signing with Invasion Records, they released the extended play Ma Belle Scalpelle (1994). Their discography includes the debut studio recording Abrah Kadavrah (1996) and Under the Blade (1997), the latter of which was followed by a tour of Europe with In Flames and Borknagar. Their discography includes the studio recordings Fast Forward (1999), Royal Straight Flesh (2002), and Reclaim the Beat (2005). The ensemble became inactive in 2005 but resumed activity in 2021. Their discography includes the studio recording Grind Over Matter (2022), released through the label Metal Blade Records.
