Biography

Curtiss Maldoon was a British folk duo formed by Dave Curtiss and Clive Maldoon. The pair began their musical journey together in 1968 in Bodast, a band that also featured Steve Howe on guitar and Bobby Woodman Clarke on drums. That year, they recorded an unreleased album with Keith West, which was later released as The Lost Bodast Tapes in 1982. Curtiss Maldoon's debut album, Curtiss Maldoon, was released in 1971 on Purple Records and featured the single "You Make Me Happy (And You Make Me Sad)". The duo toured with Badfinger and performed at Lincoln Center. Following the release of their second album, Maldoon, in 1973, Curtiss stepped back from the project. Maldoon continued to establish himself in music and faced managerial issues before his death in 1978.
