Biography
Couch is an American band from Boston, made up of seven musicians from various university backgrounds, united by a shared passion for soul, funk and retro pop. Driven by the warm vocals of lead singer Tema Seigel and a dynamic ensemble featuring guitar (Zach Blankenstein), bass (Will Griffin), drums (Jared Gozinsky), keyboards (Danny Silverston), trumpet (Jeffrey Pinsker-Smith) and saxophone (Eric Tarlin), the collective has quickly made a name for itself with its high-energy performances and carefully crafted arrangements. Their music is characterized by a blend of driving grooves, rich vocal harmonies and a brassy sound reminiscent of 1970s soul, while retaining a contemporary, accessible feel. After several singles, the band released the EPs Couch (2021), Sunshower (2023), The Sweater Sessions (2024), Sunshower - Live in LA (2024) and THe Sweater Sessions II (2025). October 2025 sees the release of the band's first album, Big Talk.
