Biography

A project led by songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Shawn Lee and Andy Platts, Young Gun Silver Fox, formed in London in 2012, revives the spirit of 1970s American West Coast soft rock. Former member of The Electric Peanut Butter Company, producer, drummer and songwriter Shawn Lee joins forces with Andy Platts, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and songwriter best known for forming Mamas Gun in 2007, to indulge their shared passion for sophisticated soft rock tinged with funk, carefree melodies and chiseled arrangements. In the spirit of Steely Dan and similar bands, the duo produced the albums West End Coast (2015), AM Waves (2018), Canyons (2020) and Ticket to Shangri-La (2022), all evocative names for fans of these musical textures and peaceful atmosphere, with a modern twist. In 2025, the duet continues with the Pleasure album.
