Biography
The Charities are a Californian band drawing their inspiration from the soul and funk of the 1960s, focusing on reproducing the analog sound of the instruments of the era. Formed in San Luis Obispo in 2018, they recorded the album G.B.L.O. (2020) and are building a reputation on stage with performances blowing sweetness and energy. Most often sung, The Charities' music also features instrumental versions. After the Alma EP in 2019, several singles follow in the early 2020s, as well as an EP recorded for Templeton's Jam in the Van in 2022. Subsequent singles include "It's Your Turn" and "Strangers " in 2024, followed by "Fatal Attraction", whose single penetrates the UK physical format charts.
