Biography
Circus of Power is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in 1987. The group's debut album, Circus of Power, was released in 1988 under RCA Records and received positive reviews within the metal scene. They released the EP Still Alive in 1989, followed by their second studio album, Vices, in 1990. In 1990, Gary Sunshine switched to guitar, and Zowie joined as bassist. The band opened for Black Sabbath's tour supporting their 1990 album Tyr. Despite facing a decline in popularity due to the rise of grunge music, Circus of Power released their third album, Magic & Madness, in 1993 before disbanding in 1995. The band reformed in 2014 and released new material, including the 2016 single "American Monster" featuring Jyrki 69 of the 69 Eyes, and their fourth studio album, Four, in 2017.
