Biography

BulletBoys, an American hard rock band, was formed in January 1988 in Los Angeles, California. The original lineup included Marq Torien on vocals, Mick Sweda on guitar, Lonnie Vencent on bass, and Jimmy D'Anda on drums. Torien, born Mark Joseph Maytorena, had previously played guitar for Ratt and briefly for Ozzy Osbourne before forming BulletBoys. The band's debut album, Bulletboys, was released on September 16, 1988, via Warner Brothers Records. Produced by Ted Templeman, the album featured several MTV-played singles and sold nearly a million copies in the USA. Following this success, BulletBoys toured with bands like Cinderella, Winger, Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Living Colour. Their second album, Freakshow, was released on March 12, 1991, and included notable covers such as "Hang on St. Christopher" and "Talk to Your Daughter". The band's third album, Za-Za, was produced by Templeman in 1993 but failed to chart due to shifting musical trends. Shortly after, BulletBoys lost their record deal, leading to a series of lineup changes and eventual disbandment. In 2006, the original lineup attempted a reunion which ultimately did not materialize.
