Biography

Circulus, a psychedelic/progressive folk band from South London, England, was founded in 1997 by vocalist Michael Tyack. Their debut album, The Lick on the Tip of an Envelope Yet to Be Sent, was released in 2005. The band gained significant attention with their second album, Clocks Are Like People (2006). Circulus also appeared in various media outlets, including a two-page spread in NME and interviews on BBC2's The Culture Show. In 2007, they contributed “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” to Mojo magazine's tribute album Sgt. Pepper... With a Little Help from His Friends. The band continued with releases such as Thought Becomes Reality (2009) and later albums including Birth and Gate 47 (both 2018).
