Biography
R&B/pop group Bro'Sis formed on the second season of Germany's Popstars â Du bist mein Traum in 2001 originally as a sextext â comprising Ross Antony, Hila Bronstein, Shaham Joyce, Faiz Mangat, Indira Weis, and Giovanni Zarrella â and scored a hit single that year with their debut release, "I Believe." Produced by Alex Christensen, the hip-hop-flavored song shot to the top of the charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, going triple-platinum in Germany where it became one of the country's biggest-selling singles. Folding R&B and hip-hop into pop, the group's debut album Never Forget (Where You Come From) landed in January 2002 and went to the top of the charts in Austria and Germany as well as reaching Number 6 on the Swiss Singles Chart. The album also yielded several Top 10 singles including "Do You," "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel" and "Hot Temptation," with the latter featured on the Special Winter Edition reissue of Never Forget. Indira Weis quit the group four days before the release of their second album, Days of Our Lives, which went to Number 10 on the German Albums Chart in 2003 and spawned a Top 20 single in a new version of "V.I.P.", with Indira Weiss's vocals omitted. After releasing a couple of charity singles, including a remake of "With a Little Help from My Friends" for the 2004 Red Nose Day, Bro'Sis dropped their third and final studio album, Showtime, that year. The group's recording contract with Cheyenne Records expired that autumn and they split up the following year.
