Biography

Natasha Thomas was born on September 27, 1986 in Roskilde, Denmark. She is a Danish singer and songwriter in the pop, europop and dance-pop genre who gained international fame in the early 2000s with her catchy pop songs. Natasha Thomas began her musical career in 2003 with her first singles. In 2004, she released her debut album Save Your Kisses, which entered the charts in several European countries and gave her her breakthrough. Stylistically, she combines catchy pop with melodic dance elements and youthful lightness. The first single "Why (Does Your Love Hurt So Much)" was released in 2003 and placed in the German charts, followed in 2004 by "It's Over Now" and "Save Your Kisses for Me", both of which reached high chart positions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As part of the promotion, Natasha Thomas is chosen as the global face of the Lacoste fashion brand in 2004 and can be seen in pan-European advertising campaigns. The second studio album Playin' With Fire follows in 2006, which is released on a new label after her contract with Sony Music ends. This album reaches the charts in some countries, but falls short of the success of the debut. Singles such as "Skin Deep" and "Real" are taken from the album. In the following years, a few singles such as "Solo con te" (2009) and "Alene " (2010) are released, but they do not build on the earlier chart successes.
