Biography

Formed in Tarbes in 2004, the group Boulevard des Airs, which combines French chanson with a wide range of influences, has won several Victoires de la musique awards. Led by brothers and guitarists Florent and Jean-Noël Dasque and singer and multi-instrumentalist Sylvain Duthu, the Pyrenean band also includes bassist Laurent Garnier, drummer Ernst Carree and pianist Jérémie Plante. After a series of concerts in France and opening slots for Manu Chao and Tryo, the collective, which added a brass section along the way, was booked at the Olympia in Paris in 2010, and scored its first success the following year with the Latin-inspired track "Cielo Ciego", followed by the debut album Paris-Buenos Aires, which was immediately certified gold. Nominated in the "Stage Revelation" category at the 2013 Victoires de la Musique awards, Boulevard des Airs returned that year with a deceptively festive second album, Les Appareuses Trompences, from which the song "Bla bla" is taken. The band hit the road again in France and several European countries for two years before releasing a new album, Bruxelles, in 2015, featuring Zaz on "Demain de bon matin". Boulevard des Airs' reputation continues to grow, with a tour of major concert halls and the following album Je Me Dis Que Toi Aussi (ranked No. 3 in sales in 2018), its namesake song winning a Victoire de la musique award, and the presence of Vianney on "Allez reste", ranked No. 1. The album Loin des Yeux (2021), made at home during the Covid-19 pandemic, includes original songs and new versions, with remote contributions from Patrick Bruel, Yannick Noah, Tryo, Claudio Capéo and L.E.J. The trio is invited back on the album Je Rentre à la Maison (2025), to which Carbonne and Lémofil are also invited, with the first single "Seul ici".
