Biography

Black Marble is an American electronic music project formed in 2011 in Brooklyn, New York. The group was led by Chris Stewart and initially featured Ty Kube of Team Robespierre. Black Marble released their debut EP Weight Against the Door on Hardly Art in 2012, followed by their first full-length album A Different Arrangement later that year. In 2016, they released It's Immaterial, marking Ty Kube’s departure and Chris Stewart’s move to the West Coast. The album was noted for its nostalgic touch and modern-day deference. Black Marble signed with Sacred Bones Records in 2019, releasing their third studio album, Bigger Than Life, the same year. Notable singles from this period include "One Eye Open." In 2021, they released their fourth studio album Fast Idol.
