Big Drill Car are an American punk rock band from Costa Mesa, California, formed in 1987. The ensemble was founded by vocalist Frank Daly, guitarist Mark Arnold, bassist Bob Thomson, and drummer Danny Marcroft. They achieved professional recognition as pioneers of melodic hardcore, influencing contemporaries such as ALL and Dag Nasty. They released the debut extended play Small Block (1988) before signing with Cruz Records to issue their debut studio album, Album/Tape/CD Type Thing (1989). Their recording career includes the studio recordings Batch (1991) and No Worse for the Wear (1994), the latter featuring drummer Keith Fallis. They also released the live recording Toured (A Live Album) (1993) through Headhunter Records. The group became inactive in 1995 but resumed activity for performances between 2008 and 2009 and again starting in 2016. Their discography includes the studio recording A Never Ending Endeavour (2009), which featured both new material and archival tracks.
