Angry Samoans, an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in August 1978 by early 1970s rock writer "Metal" Mike Saunders, his sibling lead guitarist Bonze Blayk, and Gregg Turner. The original lineup included Todd Homer on bass and Bill Vockeroth on drums. Their first gig was on October 30, 1978, opening for Roky Erickson and the Aliens in Richmond, California. The band's debut release, Inside My Brain, featured P.J. Galligan on lead guitar and was one of the earliest hardcore punk albums from the LA punk rock scene. In 1982, they released their album, Back From Samoa. Notable songs include "Lights Out" and "They Saved Hitler's Cock". The band continued to release albums such as STP Not LSD (1988) and The '90s Suck and So Do You (1998). Throughout their career, the Angry Samoans performed extensively along the West Coast.
