Biography
Formed in London in 2023, alternative indie rock band BBY comprises Benjy Gibson (vocals), Jessy Jacquet-Cretides and Tommaso Medica (guitars), Deon Graham (bass) and Tom Parkin (drums). Renowned in their Shoreditch neighborhood for their feverish performances, the quintet is gaining a following on social networks with upbeat tracks like "Hotline", "Money Body" and "U Come Near", the first singles released in 2023. They took part in festivals such as All Points East in East London and the Leeds Festival, before returning every Wednesday to their headquarters, the State51 club in Shoreditch. In 2024, a new salvo of tracks such as "Kille Me", "Breathe" and "Fucked Up" set the British scene alight, while the lead single "Kinky" appeared in several American alternative rock charts, as well as in Japan, following the release of album 1 in summer 2024.
