Biography

China Bears are an English indie rock band formed in Somerset, United Kingdom, by twin brothers Proctor, Ivan (vocals/guitar) and Frazer (lead guitar); the lineup was completed with James Zealey (bass) and Dean McCaw (drums) after they met at university in Guildford. Known for emotive, melodic, guitarâdriven songs, they released several EPs: China Bears (2018), Iâve Never Met Anyone Like You (2019), Statue Still (2021) and All That Distance (2022), before issuing their debut album Participation Trophy in July 2024 on Fierce Panda Records, recorded with Rod Jones of Idlewild.
