Biography
Hailing from Galway, The Clockworks are an Irish post-punk revival band. The line-up of James McGregor (vocals, guitar), Seán Connelly and Damian Greaney (guitars) and Tom Freeman (bass) made their debut on the local scene in the mid-2010s, before moving to London in 2019. The band attracts the attention of manager Alan McGee, who signs them to his Creation23 label. Several singles are released before the 2022 EP The Clockworks, followed in November 2023 by the album Exit Strategy. After appearances at festivals such as Eurosonic, Electric Picnic and Sefton Park, The Clockworks returned to the studio to craft their second album, The Entertainment, released in March 2026.
