The South Korean boyband Battle (hangul: ë°°í) first appeared in December 2006 with their debut single "Crash," having made themselves known as the victors of reality show Let's Coke Play! Battle Shinhwa! the previous year. The group originally comprised six members: Ryu, Tae-hwa, Lio, Chris, Hwi-chan and Shin Ki-Hyun, who parted ways with the group in 2008 to focus on his acting career. Battle grew popular in Thailand and achieved some success in the country with their second single "Tell Me (Malhae)." Following the departure of Shin Ki-Hyun, the group released a follow-up single, "Step by Step," but later stopped putting out releases and effectively disbanded in 2010 following the bankruptcy of their label Good Entertainment. They reunited briefly in 2019 for a live performance.
