Bongekile Mildred Simelane, born March 25, 1994, in Durban, South Africa, is a singer known as Babes Wodumo. She first attracted attention with the single "Desha" in 2014, later signing with West Ink Records. In 2016, she released her debut album Gqom Queen, Vol. 1, featuring the hit "Wololo," which earned her a nomination for Best Breakthrough Artist and Song of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards. The album was later certified gold by RiSA. Her second studio album, Idando Kazi (2020), included the hit single "eLamont" and collaborations with Mampintsha and Skillz. The album was nominated at the 27th South African Music Awards.
