Aquasky, an electronic group formed in the United Kingdom in 1995 by Dave Wallace, Kieron Bailey and Brent Newitt, emerged from a shared passion for drumânâbass that began in their youth; the trio first connected in early 1995 and promptly sent a demo to Moving Shadow Records, leading to their inaugural single "Dezires" / "Images" released on the labelâs Shadow 64 imprint. The groupâs early output, including the 1997 Orange Dust EP and the 2006 Teamplayers release, established them within the UK drumânâbass scene, while their 2010 Living Legends EP and the 2011 single "You Take Me There" expanded their reach into broader electronic audiences. Throughout their career Aquasky maintained a steady presence on the underground circuit, collaborating with notable producers such as Krust and contributing to the breaks subgenre under the alias Aquasky vs. Masterblaster before consolidating their output under the Aquasky name. The trio also founded the Passenger label in 1997 and its sister imprint 777 in 2004, fostering new talent in heavy drumânâbass and breaks.
