Biography

Logistics is the stage name of English electronic music producer and DJ Matt Gresham (July 30, 1981) whose rapid-fire beats and jazzy samples helped him become a staple of the so-called liquid funk scene in the early aughts. Hailing from Cambridge, Logistics grew up listening to Rage Against the Machine and downtempo electronic music, and became exposed to drum’n’bass after listening to the 1996 Music Box compilation by Full Cycle Records. His first appearance was in a collaborative EP along with his brother Nu:Tone titled Rock the Jazzbar (2003), which was followed by his debut EP Spacejam in 2004 via Hospital Records. Release the Pressure, his second EP, saw the light in 2005 and paved the way for his highly-anticipated studio debut, Now More Than Ever, released in 2006. After winning BBC 1Xtra's Xtra Bass award for his first full-length, Logistics continued to release music at a prolific rate, including the albums Reality Checkpoint (2008), Crash Bang Wallop! (2009), and Spacejams (2010). In 2013, he collaborated once again with Nu:Tone as Nu:Logic on their first full-length What I’ve Always Waited For and followed up with 2017’s Somewhere Between the Light. Towards the end of the decade, Logistics went back to his solo endeavors and dropped his eighth album Hologram in 2018. Waveforms, a four-track EP, arrived in 2019.
