All Systems Go, a Canadian punk rock supergroup formed in Toronto in 1995, brought together members from Big Drill Car, Doughboys, the Asexuals, The Carnations, Descendents, C'mon, and The Weakerthans; its core lineup included guitarist Mark Arnold, vocalist John Kastner, bassist Frank Daly, drummer Matt Taylor, and later replacements such as Thomas DâArcy and Dean Dallas Bentley. The bandâs breakthrough came with the release of the EP I'll Be Your Radio in 2000, following their debut album All Systems Go! in 1999, produced by Daniel Rey, which featured the track "Subzero" coâwritten with Dee Dee Ramone and showcased a blend of hard rock, punk, and vocal harmonies. In 2002, the group released Mon Chi Chi, collaborating with artists such as Pete Stahl, Melissa Auf der Maur, and Greg Dulli, and produced singles "Fascination Unknown" and "Tell Vicki"; the latter appeared in the 2006 film Firewall. The band toured Europe, performed at Torontoâs North By Northeast Music Conference, the Toronto Warped Tour, and Belgiumâs Dour Festival, and opened for Pearl Jam, Cheap Trick, and Matthew Good Band. After a brief lineup change in 2003, the group disbanded, and in 2006 they issued A Late Night Snack, a collection of outtakes and unreleased material, marking the final chapter of All Systems Goâs active career.
