Biography
The Asexuals, a Canadian punk rock band from Beaconsfield, Quebec, formed in 1983 by Sean Friesen, T.J. Collins, and Paul Remington while attending high school. They released their first EP, Featuring: The Asexuals, in 1984 on Og Music, followed by their debut LP, Be What You Want. In 1985, they released Contemporary World and toured North America. Singer John Kastner was kicked out in 1987 and went on to form the Doughboys. The band continued with Friesen and Collins sharing vocals, releasing Dish in 1988 and Exile from Floontown in 1991. They disbanded in 1996 after releasing Fitzjoy. In 2017, the Asexuals reunited to record Brave New Waves Session, released on Artoffact Records.
