Fudge Tunnel was an English punk rock and metal band formed in Nottingham in 1989 by Alex Newport, David Ryley, and Adrian Parkin. The group released their debut EP Fudge Tunnel on Pigboy Records in 1989, which gained notable attention when it was named "Single of the Week" in NME magazine in January 1990. Fudge Tunnel signed with Earache Records and released their full-length debut album, Hate Songs in E Minor, in 1991. The band's reputation grew through extensive European tours supporting acts like Fugazi and Swervedriver. Their second full-length album, Creep Diets, was released in 1992 under Earache Records. Fudge Tunnel disbanded quietly in late 1995 just after the release of their compilation album, In A Word. Following their disbandment, the band released the the live albums Best of the Desk Volume One - Live in Europe 1993 (2020) and Sloppy Noise-Rock (2021).
