Biography

Algernon Cadwallader, an American rock band from Yardley, Pennsylvania, was formed in 2005 by Peter Helmis (vocals, bass), Joe Reinhart and Colin Mahony (guitars). The trio initially gained experience through various projects before forming Algernon Cadwallader. Their first release was a four-song demo in 2006, followed by their debut full-length album Some Kind Of Cadwallader in May 22, 2008. The band's lineup evolved over the years, with Nick Tazza joining on drums and later being replaced by Matt "Tank" Bergman. They released their second album, Parrot Flies, in 2011 before disbanding in 2012. In 2022, Algernon Cadwallader reunited and began touring again, releasing a cover of "Mad World" in support of the Palestinian relief effort on December 28, 2023. Their third album, Trying Not to Have a Thought, was released on September 12, 2025 via Saddle Creek.
