Biography
Castevet, an emo band from Chicago, was founded in mid-2007 by lead vocalist and guitarist Nick Wakim, guitarist Will McEvilly, backing vocalist and bass guitarist Ron Petzke, and drummer Josh Snader. The band's early work included the self-released demo CD-R I Know What a Lion Is and their debut album Summer Fences, released on Count Your Lucky Stars Records in 2009. In 2010, Castevet released the EP The Echo & The Light, which was later re-recorded and expanded into an album released by Tiny Engines and Stiff Slack in August of that year. The band also released a split with Into It. Over It., titled Snack Town, on Topshelf Records. In December 2010, Castevet changed its name to CSTVT, releasing the single "CSTVT" on Run for Cover Records the following year. The band continued work on a third full-length album before disbanding in 2013.
