1208 was an American pop punk and melodic hardcore band formed in 1994 in Hermosa Beach, California. The ensemble, whose name referred to the apartment number shared by its members, was founded by vocalist Alex Flynn, guitarist Neshawn Hubbard, bassist Bryan Parks, and drummer Manny McNamara. Flynn is the nephew of Black Flag founder Greg Ginn and artist Raymond Pettibon. After signing with Epitaph Records, the group released its debut album, Feedback Is Payback, in 2002, which included the singles âScared Awayâ and âJimmyâ. The band released its final studio album, Turn of the Screw, in 2004. The song âFall Apartâ appeared on the soundtrack of the video game Burnout 3: Takedown. Despite announcing work on a new project in 2006, the group disbanded in 2007. The ensemble resumed activity briefly in 2009 for a performance with T.S.O.L., featuring Donald Conrad on drums. 1208 became inactive in 2009.
