Ojay Morgan, known professionally as Zebra Katz, is a Jamaican-American rapper, producer, and songwriter born in 1987. Based in Berlin, Morgan began his music career with the release of "Ima Read" in 2012, which gained significant attention when it was featured by fashion designer Rick Owens at Paris Fashion Week the same year. Morgan's debut album, Less Is Moor, was released in 2020, combining elements of hip-hop, drum 'n' bass, and electronic music. The album pays tribute to the minimalistic approach often imposed on artists of color and features acerbic lyricism through its biting rhythms. Notable collaborations include work with Busta Rhymes and Gorillaz. Morgan has also been vocal about his identity as a queer artist, pushing back against societal labels and typecasts.
