Roderick Brisco, also known as Young Roddy, born on September 20, 1986, in Kenner, Louisiana, is an American rapper. Growing up, he was an avid basketball player, but turned to music after Hurricane Katrina, when he moved in with a friend who made beats and had a home studio. Young Roddy began freestyling with friends and eventually met Curren$y at a studio session. In 2007, he appeared on two songs from Curren$y's mixtape Life at 30,000 Feet, marking his career in the music industry. He joined the Jet Life collective and collaborated extensively with Curren$y and other members. Young Roddy released his solo album, Good Sense, in 2012, followed by several more mixtapes and albums, including The Kenner Loop (2015) and Never Question God (2022). He has also collaborated on various projects, such as Bales with Curren$y and Hood Gospel with Jamaal.
