Biography

Young Gunz, an American hip hop duo from Philadelphia, was composed of rappers Young Chris (born Christopher Ries on March 9, 1983) and Neef Buck (born Hanif Muhammad on March 30, 1983). The group was part of Beanie Sigel's State Property collective and signed to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records. Their breakthrough came with the single "Can't Stop, Won't Stop", which reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003. This success led to their debut album Tough Luv, released in February 2004, which debuted at number Three on the Billboard 200. The album included notable singles such as "No Better Love" and "Friday Night". Their second album, Brothers from Another, was released in May 2005 and featured guest appearances from Kanye West and Swizz Beatz. Despite a strong promotional campaign, the album's sales were disappointing compared to their debut. Young Gunz also contributed to various soundtracks and albums, including Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 2 and Freeway’s Philadelphia Freeway. The duo was involved in public feuds with artists such as The Game and Katt Williams.
