Biography
Wingtip Sloat is an American indie rock trio formed in 1990 in the United States. The group consists of the musicians Patrick Foster, Andy Dubuc, and David Bishop. They were known for their DIY ethos and recorded their early work on 4-track tape. Their debut release was the EP M31 (1991), followed by Return of the Night of the Ardent Straggler (1994). The group released the albums Chewyfoot (1995) and If Only for the Hatchery (1998) through the VHF Records label. In 2007, the compilation Add This to the Rhetoric was released. The ensemble became inactive in 1998 before resuming activity in 2013. Their recordings include the albums Purge and Swell (2018) and Lost Decade (2018).
