801 is an English experimental rock supergroup formed in London in 1976. The band consisted of Phil Manzanera, Brian Eno, Bill MacCormick, Francis Monkman, Simon Phillips, and Lloyd Watson. Initially a temporary project, 801 performed three highly acclaimed concerts, including appearances at the Reading Festival and Queen Elizabeth Hall. Their debut live album, 801 Live, released in November 1976, showcased innovative sound quality and received critical acclaim despite modest commercial success. The band's follow-up studio album, Listen Now, was released in 1977 with a revised lineup. Other releases include Live At Manchester University (1997), Live @ Hull (2000), and Latino (2001).
