Biography

Born in Stockport, near Manchester, on April 3, 1976, Will Mellor enjoyed success as a pop singer, before devoting himself to his acting career. He made a name for himself with TV roles in series such as Hollyoaks between 1995 and 1997 and Night Fever, before launching his singing career with two hits: a cover of Leo Sayer's "When I Need You", which reached No. 5 in the charts in 1998, immediately followed by "No Matter What I Do" (No. 23). In addition to appearing in a Boyzone music video, Will Mellor pursued his acting career in television and film, where he distinguished himself in dark roles. Nominated for the Television Awards in 2003, the TV Choice Awards in 2015 and the Inside Soap Awards in 2021, he returned to singing in 2025 with the charity song "Bring Him Home" (from the musical Les Misérables), which debuted at No. 18 in the UK singles chart.
