Biography

Donna Lewis' debut single, "I Love You Always Forever," was one of the defining pop songs on the 1990s, cracking the Top 10 in 18 different countries and sending its accompanying album, 1996's Now in a Minute, to platinum status in America. Although sources vary, Lewis was most likely born on August 6, 1973, in Cardiff, Wales. She signed with Atlantic Records in 1994 and released "I Love You Always Forever" two years later. A crossover smash, the song peaked at Number 2 in the U.S., while also topping the country's Dance Club Songs chart. "At the Beginning," her duet with Richard Marx, was released on the Anastasia soundtrack in 1997 and became an adult contemporary hit. Blue Planet, her second album as a solo artist, was less successful, despite its inclusion of the European single "I Could Be the One." An acoustic album, Be Still, appeared in 2002, with In the Pink following in 2008. Lewis released a self-titled EP with her side project, Chute, in 2010, then returned to her solo career for 2015's Brand New Day.
