Vincent Johannes Rudolf Claase, known professionally as Vinzzent, was born on July 20, 1978, in Winterswijk, Netherlands. He grew up in Enschede and The Hague before settling in Oosterhout. His father's involvement with pop and rock bands exposed him to these genres early in life. Vinzzent began his career as a studio technician, working with several Dutch artists. Vinzzent released his debut album Een leven lang verliefd in 2007. In 2010, he participated in the Dutch National Songfestival to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest. His most successful single, "Dromendans," a cover of Kurt Darren's Bloubergstrand se sonsak, reached number 7 on the Single Top 100. Vinzzent released his second album, Droomwereld, in July 2011.
