Vernon Jerome Price, born in the United States, emerged as a DJ whose early exposure to electronic music in his formative years laid the groundwork for a career that would shape the Frankfurt trance scene. His initial breakthrough came with the 1992 single "Wrapped Around Your Finger", followed by the release of "Vernon's Wonderland" the same year, which quickly became a defining track for the Eye Q Records label. In 1993, Price released the album Without Resolution: No Peace and a series of miniâCDs-including What Will We Do Now, Wonderer, and Sooner Or Later-solidifying his presence in the genre. The track "Vernon's Wonderland" was reâissued in 1996 with remixes by Sven Väth, Carl Cox, and The Creative, enabling the CD to enter the British charts. Throughout the 1990s, Price collaborated with producers Stevie BâZet and A.C. Boutsen, and his work was distributed by Eye Q Records, a key player in Frankfurtâs electronic music landscape.
