VÃctor GarcÃa & La Sonora Sanjuanera is a Puerto Rican salsa orchestra led by singer, pianist, composer, arranger, and musical director VÃctor GarcÃa, who founded the group in 1999 in San Juan after years of work with other bands and artists in Puerto Ricoâs tropical scene. After building its identity on the live circuit, the orchestraâs later release trail included singles such as "¡Vámonos de Fiesta!" and "Ofrenda de un JÃbaro" in 2010, followed by "Si La Ves Bailar" in 2017. A wider milestone came in 2018 with En Buena CompañÃa, a collaborative album with Gilberto Santa Rosa that featured songs including "Quiéreme", "El Amor de los Amores", "Ay, Vida", and "Son de Amor" and went on to receive a Billboard Latin Music Awards nomination in the Tropical Album of the Year category. The group continued with stand-alone singles such as "Pa Pasarla Bien!!!" in 2019, "Miro y No Te Veo" in 2020, and "Flores y AlegrÃa" and "Mejor Que la Medicina" in 2021 before issuing the 2023 albums Pal Bailador Que Guapea and Vigesimus Quintus, whose repertoire included "Queriendo Bonito", "Rebelión", "Toro Mata", and "Boricua de Puertorro." In 2024 the orchestra marked its 25th anniversary, and GarcÃa described Vigesimus Quintus as the groupâs fourth album. That anniversary cycle was followed by the Christmas set Muchas Navidades in 2025 and by "Caramelo y Chocolate" in 2026, a cha-cha-chá reinterpretation of the Iris Chacón-associated song that reached number 24 on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
