Alex Gimeno, known professionally as Ursula 1000, was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is an American disc jockey and arranger of electronic music. As a teenager, he began collecting records and started his music career as a drummer. His debut album, The Now Sound of Ursula 1000, was released in 1999. The name Ursula 1000 is a reference to Ursula Andress, the Swiss actress known for her role as a James Bond girl in Dr. No. His discography includes albums such as All Systems Are Go Go (2000), Kinda' Kinky (2002), and Ursadelica (2004).
