Urban Castle Magic (UCM) was founded in Murcia, Spain, in mid-2001 by members from disbanded bands aiming to create powerful rock inspired by alternative and 60s-70s legends. Their first demos in 2001 and 2002 showcased a powerful sound without sacrificing melodies. UCM shifted stylistically in early 2003, incorporating Spanish lyrics and psychedelic influences.
Gaining recognition after qualifying for the "El Pelotazo" contest, they recorded two new songs for the compilation album, evolving towards a darker sound while maintaining their unique style. UCM released their last demo in June 2003, featuring powerful classic riffs, enveloping arpeggios, and emotional acoustic themes.
The band has performed around 70 concerts since their formation, participating in various contests such as Murcia Joven, Banana Rock, El Pelotazo, Pinocchio Rock, and Onda Nave Rock Contest, where they won the second prize.
