Biography

Oleander, a post-grunge band from Sacramento, California, was formed in 1995 by Thomas Flowers, Doug Eldridge, Ric Ivanisevich, and Fred Nelson Jr. Their debut EP Oleander came out in 1996, followed by the album Shrinking the Blob in July 1997. The band's breakthrough hit "Down When I'm Loaded" led to a deal with Universal Records. In February 1999, Oleander released February Son, featuring the hits "Why I'm Here" and "I Walk Alone". They performed at Woodstock '99 and had songs in films like American Pie and Scary Movie. Subsequent albums included Unwind (March 2001) and Joyride (March 2003). After a hiatus starting in 2004, Oleander reunited in 2008 to work on new material.
