Upper Street was a United Kingdom boy band formed in 2006 through the MTVâproduced reality television series Totally Boyband. The lineâup comprised Dane Bowers of Another Level, Jimmy Constable of 911, Bradley McIntosh of S Club 7, and Danny Wood of New Kids on the Block, with Lee LatchfordâEvans of Steps initially joining before departing due to internal conflict. The groupâs debut and sole single, "The One", was issued on 23â¯Octoberâ¯2006 by Concept Records; it entered the UK Singles Chart at number 35 on 29â¯Octoberâ¯2006. The release followed the bandâs signing to Concept Records and was promoted through television appearances and a short promotional tour. Despite the membersâ previous chart success, the group disbanded later in 2006 after a confrontation with the record company, and no further recordings were issued. The single remains the only charting entry credited to Upper Street.
