Shanks & Bigfoot, a British duo consisting of UK garage producers Steven Meade and Danny Langsman, formed in 1998. Initially known as Doolally, they gained early recognition with the pirate anthem "Straight from the Heart", which peaked at number 20 on the UK chart upon its release in 1998. The duo achieved significant breakthrough success in 1999 with their single "Sweet Like Chocolate", which topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks and became Britain's eighth-biggest selling single of that year. The track, featuring vocals by Sharon Woolf, received extensive club play before its commercial release and was nominated for a BRIT and a MOBO award. At the 1999 MOBO Awards, Shanks & Bigfoot won Best British Dance Act. They signed to Zomba Records following their success and released their debut album Swings & Roundabouts in 2000, along with the follow-up single "Sing-A-Long", which peaked at number 12 on the UK chart. The duo also remixed tracks for artists such as Jamiroquai and Kavana, and mixed a Ministry of Sound compilation entitled Ayia Napa – The Album. Despite this success, Shanks & Bigfoot called it quits in 2001.
