Biography
Twisted Wheel, an indie rock group from Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, England, formed in February 2007 by guitarist and singer Jonny Brown and bassist Rick Lees. The band's name was inspired by a lyric from Paul Weller's "Into Tomorrow". Twisted Wheel signed to Columbia Records in January 2008 and released their first single, "She's a Weapon", in April of the same year. Their debut album, Twisted Wheel, was recorded at Hillside studios in Los Angeles and produced by Dave Sardy, and was released in 2009. The band broke up on July 13, 2014, but reformed in 2018 for a UK tour, which included performances at Old Trafford Cricket Ground and Finsbury Park. In March 2020, they released their third studio album, Satisfying the Ritual, reaching number 27 on the UK Official Sales Chart.
