Biography

Twinn Connexion was a musical duo consisting of identical twin brothers Jerry and Jay Hopkins, born on January 15, 1941, in Helena, Montana. They began singing together in grade school and moved to New York City in 1963, where they secured regular gigs at Greenwich Village coffeehouses and clubs. In 1968, Twinn Connexion signed with Decca Records and released their self-titled debut album that October, featuring songs by Jerry Keller and David Blume. Their musical style blended pop harmonies with soft rock and folk rock influences. Notable tracks included "Sixth Avenue Stroll", "Oh What a Lovely Day" and "I Think I Know Him". Jay Hopkins passed away in September 2001. Jerry Hopkins died on October 1, 2022. The duo's music has been featured on multiple sunshine pop compilations and their debut album was reissued by Now Sounds in May 2010.
