Tris McCall, born in Hudson County, New Jersey, is an American rock musician and music journalist. His musical career began with the release of his debut album, If One of These Bottles Should Happen to Fall, in 1999, produced by Scott Miller. The album featured songs centered on the political, emotional, and civic life of New Jersey. McCall followed up with Shootout at the Sugar Factory in 2003, co-produced by Jay Braun. This album focused on urban spaces and public culture. In 2006, McCall released Iâm Assuming Youâre All in Bands: Tris McCall in Brooklyn, followed by Let the Night Fall in 2010. Throughout his career, McCall has been noted for his social commentary and intricate wordplay, earning a cult following among fans of independent pop music.
