Biography

Trembling Blue Stars was a London-based band founded in 1996 by Robert Wratten. The group's name is derived from Pauline Réage’s novel The Story of O. Their debut album, Her Handwriting, released in 1996 via Shinkansen Recordings, established the band's signature sound of melancholic songs with shimmering guitars and introspective lyrics. Notable albums include Lips that Taste of Tears (1998), Broken by Whispers (2000), and Alive to Every Smile (2001). The band released several EPs and compilations, including A Certain Evening Light in 2003. Their album, Fast Trains and Telegraph Wires, was issued in 2010, followed by the EP Correspondence. They disbanded at the end of 2010.
