Biography

Northern Picture Library was a British dream pop group formed in 1993 by Bobby Wratten and Anne Mari Davies, former members of The Field Mice. They were soon joined by Mark Dobson on drums. Their debut single "Love Song For The Dead Ché" was released in 1993, a cover of the song by the psychedelic group United States of America. This was followed by their first album Alaska. Despite critical acclaim for these releases, sales were poor. Personal issues among members, including depression and substance abuse, hindered effective promotion and touring. The group released two more EPs before disbanding. In 2005, their entire back catalogue was re-released on the LTM label.
