Trance Groove is a German electronic band founded in 1992 by drummer and percussionist Stefan Krachten. The band is known for blending loops with improvisations across genres including rock, funk, jazz, and electronic music. The band's debut single "Trainspotting" was released in 1996. Over the years, Trance Groove released several albums, beginning with Solid Gold Easy Action (1994), Paramount (1996), Musique Legère (1999, a remix album primarily from Paramount), Driving South (2000), Meant to Be Like This (2003), and Orange (2008). A later release titled Playing with the Chelsea Girls appeared in 2009. The band's music spans melodic ballads to rock, with most tracks being instrumental and occasionally featuring vocal snippets.
