Imán Califato Independiente, a Spanish band formed in 1976 in Madrid, was known for its unique blend of Indian and Brazilian music and symphonic rock. The group's founding members included Iñaki Egaña on bass, Manuel RodrÃguez on guitars, and Kiko Guerrero on drums and percussion. They released their self-titled debut album Imán, Califato Independiente in 1978 under the CBS label, which featured the influential track "Tarantos" and received critical acclaim.
